Seacroft Wheelers will resume club rides and other activities from Sunday 4 April 2021.
In line with the Government’s road-map on the easing of lockdown restrictions, and British Cycling’s recent confirmation that formal club activity has been approved, members are being invited to meet up again and ride with other members – in accordance with formal protocols and measures that were introduced last year following the earlier lockdowns.
A booking system will remain in place, as per the 2020 procedure, and for April at least, group sizes will be restricted to 8-10 and not jump straight to the 15 maximum that British Cycling are allowing. This will be reviewed each week and any issues/concerns addressed before a decision is made on whether to increase group sizes. (There will also be no cafe stops initially.)
- Prior to resuming group rides, members are urged to re-familiarise themselves with the club’s Covid Protocol document – available here
- The booking process will appear on the club’s Facebook page during each week (those not on Facebook should email Graham Johnson at ridecaptain@seacroftwheelers.co.uk )
- Face coverings and social distancing at the Sunday meeting point (The Barnbow pub) remain in place
- An official BC letter is available to download to keep on your person if questioned about breaching restrictions – see here. (Ride Leaders will be asked to carry it with them.)
