Hi Wheelers, Saturday 29h April we are heading to the coast! Following the old railway from just outside Scarborough to Whitby. This is a marvelous route suitable for everyone who has a bike with knobbly tyres.

9am -meet at the Barnbow Pub to drive over to the start.
10:45 approx gather at The Station House, Cloughton on the A171 approx 5 miles north of Scarborough.

Distance -35 miles, climbing 1778 ft, saddle time approximately 4 hours.
Terrain- Relatively easy. This is the old railway between Whitby and Scarborough and it is a lovely path now.
Bike suitability- any bike with off road tyres.
Note- Can you do a pre-ride check of your bike for faulty/worn/loose components in time so any issues can be resolved please.
PS don’t forget your helmet!
Snacks – Cafe stop planned halfway in Whitby.
Guestimated finishing time – 6pm at the Barnbow.
